BEIJING, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- China on Tuesday congratulated Colombia on signing a historic peace deal that ends 52 year of armed conflict in the South American country.

The agreement, signed on Monday by Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) leader Timoleon Jimenez, came after more than four years of negotiations.

""We extend our congratulations on the signing of this deal,"" Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said at a daily press briefing, adding that this agreement, historical progress in Colombia's peace process, will bring the dawn of peace to its people and contribute to world peace and stability.

The last step will be taken on Oct. 2, when the Colombian people will vote on whether to accept the agreement or not, according to media reports, and recent opinion polls show a large majority were in favor of it.

China supports Colombia's peace process and hope that Colombia can realize a comprehensive peace at an early date and make greater achievements in development in the new epoch, Geng said.

A SHENZHEN-BASED company has launched a wireless cloud parking system ;, which is the first of its kind in China, the Southern Metropolis Daily reported yesterday.

The company, called Epai IoT Technology, was founded by a 31-year-old entrepreneur named Tian Longqiang.

Tian was born and raised in Hubei Province. After studying automation at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, he was recommended to the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for postgraduate study in 2007.

Tian worked at ZTE for two years following graduation from the institute, mainly selling the company’s security products to Southeast Asian countries.

After resigning from ZTE, he founded an IoT (Internet of Things) company in 2014, but the company didn’t grow very well as it had focused too much on developing technologies instead of tapping the market.

In 2016, Tian founded Epai IoT Technology, a company specializing in developing smart parking systems. The wireless cloud parking system makes car parking easier by using IoT technology and big data.

The company’s target customers are mid-to-low-end parking lots, which make up 80 percent of the market share. “I have secured deals with five franchisers since June. Our franchise network is expanding nationwide,” he said.

Most of the company’s core team members joined the team when Tian founded the first company. Although the first company’s business model didn’t work very well, Tian and his team members have learned a lot from their previous experience.

Seven government departments in Shenzhen jointly issued a guideline for the construction of parking facilities in the city Oct. 11. The guideline mentioned that nearly one-fourth of all parking lots in Shenzhen still rely on manual toll collection systems.

According to the guideline, a range of methods will be utilized to upgrade the city’s parking facilities to balance the supply of parking spaces with demand.

As the city government has shown support for upgrading parking lots, Tian believed it was the right time to launch the cloud parking system and he hopes the company will be able to carve out a niche in the market this time.

There were roughly 2.85 million private cars in Shenzhen as of the end of 2016, yet parking lots that are registered with the traffic police authority only amounted to around 1.25 million spots. (Shenzhen Daily)

" One of the biggest battles being waged daily is the battle of the bulge. If you are one of those facing a weight problem, take comfort in the fact that you aren't alone, and making small changes in your lifestyle will reap you big rewards. Here are some pointers for getting started on a weight loss program. If you drink a lot of soda, try to replace it with a diet version or better yet, water.

Water helps to keep your body functioning at it's best by flushing out harmful toxins and hydrating your skin. Drinking water will help prevent dehydration when its hot outside or you are expending a lot of energy. Cutting back or eliminating soda from your daily diet could eliminate hundreds of calories. A 20 ounce bottle of regular soda has 250 calories, mainly made of sugars and carbonated water. One pound of fat is equal to the amount of calories in 14 twenty ounce bottles of soda. If the energy provided from soda isn't used to fuel your body, it will quickly store as fat, something most of us don't need.

Start an exercise routine based on your current fitness level. If you haven't exercised in a long time, start slow. Start out with a 10 minute walk, if that is all you can do. As you become used to it, try to walk longer or faster. As you get better, you can add other exercises to your daily program. You can also get extra exercise by changing the way you operate on a daily basis. Instead of using the elavator or escalator, try the stairs. If there isn't a parking spot directly in front of your favorite store, accept your fate and park a little further away. If the weather is nice, walk or ride your bike instead of driving your car to nearby destinations. If you work in an office, be sure to stretch a couple of times a day.

You might also consider taking a class or instruction in a sport or activity that interests you. Many communities have recreation centers that offer instruction in tennis, swimming, dance, karate, and water exercise. They may offer fitness. Wholesale NHL Jerseys China   Wholesale Jerseys Free Shipping   Wholesale Jerseys From China   Wholesale Cheap NBA Jerseys   Wholesale MLB Jerseys From China   Wholesale Custom Jerseys   Wholesale NHL Jerseys For Cheap   Wholesale Throwback NFL Jerseys   Wholesale Throwback NCAA Jerseys   Wholesale NBA Jerseys China
